A program for a group of people, who might otherwise be isolated, to come together to have a quiet discussion and then share lunch together in the SEESA Cafeteria.
1st and 3rd Mondays in the Library
Care Circle is a support group for people who have experienced a loss. This loss may be of a spouse, friend, parent, child, pet, etc. Each person grieves losses in his or her own way and in his or her own time. There is no right or wrong way to grieve. The tenets of the group are:
C - Confidentiality (everything said in the group is kept confidental)
A - Active listening (group members listen to each other)
R - Respect (respect for each person's process is provided)
E - Explore (explore feelings, ask questions, try new ideas)
Ins, Outs, & Allies
A support group for people 55 years or older who are "out" as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, two-spirit, or questioning, "in" as anyone who thinks he or she may be LGBTQ and not yet rready to declare it to the whole world; and, anyone who is an "ally" of the LGBTQ community. We provide a sfae environment where seniors may share their joys and challenges, discuss concerns, and ask questions to understnd themselves better. Join us for facilitated discussion and support in the SEESA library. The group is a drop-in group. Registration and membership at SEESA are not required.
