FYI: Personal Directive & Power of Attorney

When considering one’s estate planning, most people understand their need for a Will. However what happens to your property, or money should you become incapacitated in the short term or long term? How will your family or caregivers know your wishes while you are still alive? This presentation will provide answers to these questions and more. We will talk about the Personal Directive, which is a document that allows you to direct your health care and care of your person in the event you become incompetent by way of accident or illness. We will also talk about the Power of Attorney. This document allows for the handling of your financial matters should you become incompetent in the future. These documents avoid the very costly dependant adult process.
