Philosophers Café: The Arch of Existence and Being an Elder
In many cultures growing older is treasured; one acquires a new and particular status. How do we in Canada regard aging? How do our neighbours and those within particular cultures that also make Canada their home regard aging? What gifts and challenges accompany being elderly? Does one’s sense of purpose, one’s regard for the past, and one’s sense of those who have gone before us shift?
