Pole Walking Workshop

Learn About Pole Walking!
Have you ever wondered why you see people walking with poles? What benefit do the poles give? How much do they cost? What to look for in a good walking pole? Am I using my poles correctly? Can I use them all year round?

In this two hour workshop we will discuss the benefits of pole walking, and what to look for in a good walking pole. Following that we will begin learning how to walk using poles properly, and to your benefit. We will practise the different techniques. We will end by going for a short walk if time allows. A limited number of poles will be provided. It is preferable that you bring your own, if you have some. Styles of poles vary widely, and the instructor can tell you about yours. If you do not have poles and would like to try some, please email letsgetactive5@gmail.com prior to registration to see if the instructor, Melanie, will have enough available for your use.
